The Atoma Tsuboman Diamond Sharpening Plate #1200 is a complete diamond sharpening stone featuring an aluminum base and a replaceable abrasive surface. Designed for routine sharpening and edge refinement, the #1200 grit provides an excellent balance between cutting efficiency and edge quality.

Its working surface is coated with high-quality diamond abrasive particles that deliver consistent performance across the entire sharpening area. The diamond abrasive maintains its cutting ability over extended use while offering the durability and stability expected from the Atoma system.

The #1200 grit is ideal for refining an edge after coarse and medium sharpening stages. It leaves a noticeably finer scratch pattern and develops a sharp, clean cutting edge suitable for everyday kitchen knives, woodworking tools, and precision cutting instruments. Depending on the application, it can serve either as a finishing stage or as preparation for higher grit stones.

The diamond abrasive performs efficiently on carbon steels, stainless steels, and advanced powder metallurgy steels. It handles wear-resistant steels such as ZDP-189, HAP-40, and SG2/R2 with ease, allowing users to sharpen demanding alloys more efficiently than with many conventional abrasives.

The rigid aluminum base provides excellent stability during sharpening, while the replaceable abrasive layer extends the service life of the system. The plate retains its flatness throughout use and requires no flattening, ensuring consistent and repeatable sharpening results.
