The Japanese sharpening stone with a grit of 3000 – Naniwa Super Stone S1-430 is suitable for final sharpening and polishing of the blade. It is a great choice for those who do not need a highly polished edge. Its special binder, a synthetic resin, is manufactured by the brand Naniwa.
Hard Naniwa Super Stones with a high concentration of abrasive particles ensure convenient and quick sharpening. Their additional advantage is that they do not wear out easily. They can handle even the hardest steels, such as R-2 or ZDP-189. Thanks to their “Splash & Go” properties, all you need to do to start sharpening is pour water on them.
Remember to dry the stone thoroughly after use, and leave it to dry completely at room temperature (do not place it on a radiator!). Naniwa Super Stones should be stored in a dark and dry place.
