The chef's knife, known in Japan as “Gyuto”, is an indispensable tool that can be used for a wide variety of tasks. Its contoured shape and often large blade allow you to perform many tasks—from cutting small tomatoes to portioning large roasts—with a single, multifunctional tool. Many cooks own several chef's knives, and its rich functionality makes it worth considering purchasing another one.

Toshihiro Wakui, representing rare blacksmithing skills, is a former employee of Yoshikane Hamono in Sanjo, who now creates knives under his own brand in the same city. His products, long a secret among connoisseurs of Japanese knives, are now gaining wider recognition. Forged from White 2 steel, Wakui knives are distinguished by their extraordinary thinness at the edge, and have an ideal blade profile, which ensures feedback and ease of cutting. The octagonal magnolia wood handle guarantees a secure grip and comfort of use. Wakui knives are considered one of the most promising products in the world of knife forging, combining traditional techniques with modern design.
