The famous Japanese Higonokami pocket knife is held in the same esteem as the Swiss Army knife in Japan and throughout the world. Higonokami was designed in 1896, incorporating the characteristic "chikiri" mechanism. This is a small forged lever that allows the knife to be opened. It is perfect for many everyday tasks, such as sharpening pencils, cutting fruit, or opening various types of packaging.

The lightweight and small Higonokami pocket knife has a simple yet very durable design. Its versatility makes it useful in many everyday situations. The silver version is made of high-quality high-carbon steel called SK-5. It has been hardened to 60 HRC, making it extremely hard. The blade's patina is a unique character that only comes with age. The Higonokami pocket knife has no locking system. Instead, friction keeps the blade securely in place. Use the "chikiri" lever to remove the blade from the handle. When using the Higonokami, keep your thumb on it to prevent the knife from closing. Rinse and dry after use to keep your pocket knives in perfect condition.
