The Masakage Yuki Bunka Universal Kitchen Knife combines a unique blade profile that makes it useful for a wide variety of kitchen tasks. This combination features the best characteristics of Gyuto and Nakiri knives, making it very popular among Western chefs.
The exceptionally beautiful and carefully crafted Masakage Yuki knives are the result of the work of Master Yoshimi Kato from Takefu Knife Village, as well as Takayuki Shibata's sharpening skills. They use Shirogami #2 carbon steel to create a hard core, which is surrounded by two layers of stainless steel in a San Mai construction. Thanks to careful heat treatment, the blades achieve a hardness of 62-63 HRC. The delicate Nashiji finish not only gives the knives an elegant look, but also ensures their exceptional cutting performance.
The Yuki knife collection also features an oval handle made of beautiful magnolia wood and a decorative red Pakka wood ferrule. The name of the series, Yuki, which means “snow” in Japanese, perfectly reflects the character of Masakage Yuki knives. The Nashiji-style finish resembles the texture of snow, and the combination of white and red on the handle adds a “winter” charm to the knives. Each knife is handmade, giving the entire collection a unique and distinctive look.
Masakage Yuki Bunka is not only a kitchen tool, but also a work of art that brings both functionality and aesthetics to your kitchen. Discover the unique character of these knives and enjoy the precision of Japanese culinary craftsmanship.
