Suehiro Medium-Grain Polishing Powder for Dull / Glossy Finish Whetstones is a specialized abrasive designed for surface refinement and maintenance of finishing whetstones and knife blades. Developed by Suehiro, a Japanese sharpening specialist, it is intended for controlled material removal during finishing work.
The medium-grain abrasive structure provides effective yet manageable cutting action. When applied to a moistened Dull / Glossy Finish whetstone and used with a flattening stone, the powder supports surface leveling and enhances the effectiveness of the finishing process.
The powder can also be used for controlled blade surface polishing, including removal of light oxidation and refinement of the blade finish. It should be used with water and moderate pressure. After use, all tools should be cleaned, dried, and the container sealed.
