






The Takamura R2 Gyuto 210 mm is the most versatile type of kitchen knife, equivalent to a Western chef's knife.
The Takamura R2 series of knives are affordable, high-quality knives. Their core is forged from R2 (SG2) powder steel, which is known for its high hardness and long-lasting sharpness. The heat treatment is 62-64 HRC. The outer layers of the knife are clad in soft stainless steel, which protects the very hard core and provides flexibility. The very thin blade of this knife, combined with hand sharpening, ensures maximum sharpness from the first use.
The handle is made of red Pakka wood with a full bolster — it is moisture resistant and virtually indestructible.
