


Satoshi Yamashita, a master blacksmith from Kochi Prefecture in Japan, created Kujira Knives as a tool for beginners, especially young people learning how to sharpen pencils and perform other light cutting tasks. These beautiful, versatile knives for chefs are handmade in Tosa and, despite their playful appearance, have an exceptionally sharp blade. The knives are still made using traditional methods. Satoshi Yamashita personally performs all the steps, such as forging, shaping, heat treatment, tempering, and polishing.
