The Morihei Hishiboshi Hi 6000 stone has a fine grit and is designed for finishing and polishing kitchen knives. When used after stones with lower grits (#500 or #1000), it allows you to achieve a beautiful kasumi finish.

The Hishiboshi Hi series is designed to replicate the performance of natural Japanese stones as closely as possible. The natural components in the abrasive structure provide exceptional contact with the blade, a natural feel, and the ability to achieve a subtle kasumi finish. During use, the stone produces a rich slurry that increases the effectiveness of polishing.

The Morihei Hi 6000 is a splash-and-go stone; it does not require soaking. Simply apply water directly to the surface. For better results, gently rub it with a nagura stone to increase the activity of the working surface. Do not wash off the slurry created during work; it contains abrasive particles that aid the finishing process.

Compared to Shapton and Naniwa stones, the Morihei Hishiboshi Hi 6000 stone has larger dimensions (210 x 75 x 25 mm) and a longer lifespan. This makes it an optimal tool for everyday use in professional environments and advanced home kitchens.

Features:

• #6000 grit for final finishing and polishing edges
• A natural feel when sharpening, thanks to the addition of natural materials
• Leaves a kasumi finish
- Splash & go – ready to use without soaking
• Creates a dense suspension, increasing work efficiency
• Lasts longer and is bigger than Shapton or Naniwa stones
• Recommended as the final step before using a leather strop or #12,000 stone.
