Japanese Oire Nomi chisels are made by a master blacksmith in Miki City, Japan. Nomi translates as chisel. These tools have double-layered, extremely sharp blades that are very durable.
The double-layered blade is made of White #2 carbon steel, which is clad in soft iron. This ensures maximum durability and exceptional ease of sharpening. The double construction of the knife also increases the strength of the cutting edge.
The tapered steel ferrule transfers the impact force to the blade. It is smoothly embedded between the handle and the blade, protecting the handle from the risk of breakage that could otherwise occur as a result of repeated impact.
