The Hado Shiosai Ko-Bunka 13.5 cm SG2 is a compact Japanese knife featuring a pointed kiritsuke style tip. The Ko-Bunka format combines the agility of a utility knife with the cutting performance of a wider blade.
The blade is built around a SG2 R2 powdered stainless steel core, valued for high hardness and corrosion resistance. Heat treated to approximately 63 +/-1 HRC, it offers strong edge retention and stable cutting performance. Stainless cladding enhances durability and simplifies maintenance.
A subtle Tsuchime hammered finish improves food release and adds refined texture to the blade. The thin geometry and precise sharpening by Naohiro Nomura ensure clean, controlled cuts. The pointed tip supports detailed and accurate work.
The octagonal oak handle provides balanced handling and secure grip. This knife is designed for users seeking compact precision combined with modern powdered steel performance.
