The Higonokami pocket knife is famous all over Japan. It is as well-known as Swiss Army knives in Switzerland and around the world. Higonokami was created in 1896 and features a "chikiri" mechanism, a small forged lever used to open it. It is perfect for everyday tasks of the knife type, such as sharpening pencils and opening various packages, and even for cutting fruit and many other activities.
The Higonokami pocket knife is the perfect tool for any situation. Its simple design, light weight and small size make it easy to take with you anywhere. This product has universal applications. You must have it on hand every day. The silver version has a blade core made of SK-5 carbon steel with soft iron cladding. The blades are heat-treated to increase their hardness to 59 HRC. Over time, a patina appears on them, contributing to the unique appearance of the Higonokami. The blade is held securely in place by friction – there is no locking system. Remove it from the handle by pressing the "chikiri". Hold the lever down with your thumb and the blade will stay outside, allowing you to use the knife. Rinse and dry the blade thoroughly after use.
