The Sakai Kikumori Nihonko Cleaver, with a length of 180 mm, is ideal for the toughest kitchen tasks, such as cutting and chopping meat and cartilage, as well as splitting hard vegetables such as pumpkin.

One of the most popular and best-selling series of Sakai Kikumori Nihonko kitchen knives includes knives with blades made from a single piece of steel (manufactured using the so-called mono-steel technique). They are made of Japanese carbon steel, containing 0.95% carbon. During production, the blades undergo heat treatment, giving them a hardness of 63 HRC. Ease of sharpening and long-lasting sharpness are among the greatest advantages of Sakai Kikumori Nihonko kitchen knives. They can be confidently recommended to all professionals, as well as those who value functionality, convenience, and high-quality tools in their kitchen work. Nihonko knives have an aesthetic Pakka wood handle. It is durable and has a comfortable, ergonomic shape. After each use of a Sakai Kikumori Nihonko kitchen knife, it should be washed and then dried, as the blade is made of non-stainless steel.

Sakai Kikumori, Japan's leading brand of professional kitchen knives, has been in business since 1926. Throughout this time, it has drawn on the 600-year-old craft tradition of knife forging in Sakai. We owe the wide range of excellent knives, both in traditional Japanese and modern Western styles, to the work of talented blacksmiths and sharpeners who collaborate with Sakai Kikumori.
