The Tsunehisa Morado Nakiri knife is perfect for cutting and chopping vegetables. It looks like a cleaver. The Nakiri has a thin blade, unlike a cleaver. Its length is 165 mm.
The Tsunehisa Morado kitchen knife collection is the result of using the highly regarded carbon steel known as Aogami Super. This professional series has many advantages. The knives are extremely sharp and long-lasting. They have a very aggressive cutting edge. Each core is made of the mentioned Aogami Super steel, which is surrounded by stainless steel cladding. This affects the efficiency of kitchen tasks and the relatively simple maintenance of each Tsunehisa Morado knife. The hardness of 63 +/- 1 HRC is achieved through a special heat treatment process. The Kurouchi finish – the black part on its upper side – clearly emphasises the classic Japanese style. The manual Tsuchime forging process has left visible marks that distinguish these knives as beautiful and unique pieces. This guarantees that food won't stick to the blades. The handle is oval in shape and made of Morado rosewood, while pakka wood is used for the decorative ferrule.
